Design competition for the reconstruction of the Nordic centre and restructuring of the Arpettaz car park technical premises in the Confins area

Summary

This is a restricted design competition for the reconstruction of the existing Nordic centre and the restructuring and extension of the technical premises at the Arpettaz car park in the Confins area of La Clusaz. The programme includes demolishing the existing Nordic centre and constructing a new 513 m² building, as well as retaining, restructuring and extending the more recent technical premises over 429 m². The design must address architectural, functional, landscape and environmental considerations, including accessibility, energy performance, resource efficiency and reuse. The estimated construction budget is EUR 3.5 million excluding VAT, at January 2025 prices, with the buildings scheduled to enter service at the beginning of September 2029. Applications must be submitted electronically by 13 October 2026 at 12:00. Three candidates will be admitted to the competition, subject to a sufficient number of compliant applications. Each participant submitting a compliant ESQ+ level design may receive a prize of EUR 25,000 excluding VAT, subject to the conditions in the competition rules.
