Environmental impact assessment procedure for the Topinoja waste centre

Summary

Lounais-Suomen Jätehuolto Oy is procuring an environmental impact assessment procedure for planned changes to the Topinoja waste centre in Turku, together with a general-plan-level layout of the proposed operations. The project includes changes to waste volumes and treatment activities, the planned reception and pretreatment of septic and cesspool sludge, handling and recovery of soil containing elevated concentrations of harmful substances, and consideration of future uses for the closed landfill area.
