Invitation to market dialogue: Rental textiles and laundry services for the City of Joensuu and Polkka

Summary

This is an invitation to a market dialogue, not a contract notice or request for tenders. Pohjois-Karjala Procurement Services wants to discuss the market and possible solutions for rental textiles and laundry services in preparation for a future procurement by the City of Joensuu and Polkka, a North Karelia support services company. The services being explored include exchange-mat services, rental of various textiles (including nursery bedding and bed linen, cleaning textiles and fabric towel rolls), and laundry services for workwear and other textiles. Businesses in the relevant sectors, particularly those operating in North Karelia, are invited to participate. The dialogue will consist of separate, approximately one-hour Microsoft Teams meetings with individual businesses. Available times are 13 October 2026, 8:00–12:00 and 14:00–16:00, and 14 October, 12:00–16:00; registration for these dates closes on 9 October at 12:00. Meetings on 20 October are available from 8:00 to 12:00, with registration closing on 16 October at 12:00. Registered participants will receive further information about the buyers’ needs and volumes, as well as discussion questions, before the meeting. Participation in the dialogue does not commit a business to submit a tender and is not a condition for participating in a future competition; not participating does not prevent future participation. This market consultation does not oblige the buyer to launch a competition.
