Toivala overpass

Summary

The Toivala overpass project is a lump-sum turnkey contract. The contract covers bridge construction based on client-designed plans described in the tender documents, including all traffic arrangements, equipment and installations. The old bridge will be demolished and replaced with a new bridge that includes electrified railway works. The new bridge (SK-135) is a prestressed concrete continuous deck bridge. As part of the works, Toivala Road level will be raised as planned, and the maintenance road on the west side of the bridge will be relocated away from the bridge.
