Dredging procurement for Siikalahdelle, Parikkala 2026–2027

Summary

The tender concerns the dredging/remediation works at Siikalahdelle in Parikkala for 2026–2027 as part of Natura 2000 obligations. The objective is to improve habitat conditions for waterfowl and other wetland species by restoring fully overgrown marsh areas near Kaukolantie and additional areas in the north that were not completed in the spring 2026 works. The works will increase open-water area by removing floating moss, swamp vegetation and aquatic plants. At the same time, willow and other woody vegetation will be removed with roots. In some areas, reeds will be uncovered and seasonal wetland-like depressions created. Bottom sediments will not be dredged. The procurement is not divided into lots.
