Microscale thermophoresis device

Summary

The University of Oulu is procuring a microscale thermophoresis device for Biocenter Oulu to qualitatively and quantitatively characterise nanoparticle and protein interactions in solution without immobilisation. The device must support sample-quality and aggregation assessment, rapid interaction screening, sensitive affinity measurements, a dissociation-constant and binding-affinity range from nM to mM, low sample consumption of approximately 10 microlitres and a low-nanomole amount of labelled target. It must detect fluorescence emission-spectrum changes under isothermal conditions and thermophoresis-related intensity changes in a microscopic temperature gradient, and include detailed documentation and a user interface. The equipment and software must be easy to use and maintain in an academic multi-user facility. The maximum budget is EUR 189,000 excluding VAT, and tenders must be submitted by 9 October 2026 at 13:00.
