Supply of de-icing materials for Ávila City Council’s winter road maintenance plan

Summary

Ávila City Council is procuring road de-icing salt and other fundents for preventive and reactive winter road maintenance. The estimated, non-binding requirement is 480 tonnes across five delivery formats: dry rock salt in bulk (410 tonnes), dry rock salt in 1.2-tonne big bags (45 tonnes), and marine salt in 25 kg sacks (25 tonnes); the other two formats have an estimated quantity of zero. Deliveries will be ordered as weather-related needs arise, with transport and unloading to municipal storage included. The contract covers the winter season from November 2026 to April 2027, with an option to extend for one further season through April 2028, and is not divided into lots.
