Comprehensive renovation of the former Balàfia school to create a new civic hub

Summary

Lleida City Council is procuring the comprehensive renovation and conversion of the former Balàfia school into a new civic hub. The works are divided into three lots: Building 1 for a women’s resource centre, feminist innovation and economy facilities, including three supported homes; Building 2 for temporary residential services for adults experiencing social exclusion; and Building 3 for community spaces and neighbourhood organisations. Each lot also includes utility connections and external paving to provide fire-service access. The works are planned for 18 months, with a total budget of €5,999,979.81 excluding VAT (€7,259,975.57 including VAT).
