Earthworks, demolition and shoring for the University of Stuttgart biotechnology replacement building

Summary

Baden-Württemberg’s property and construction authority is procuring earthworks, demolition and shoring for the first phase of the University of Stuttgart’s replacement biotechnology building at Allmandring 29 in Stuttgart-Vaihingen. The works include site clearance and excavation, disposal of soil and rock, a bored-pile retaining wall with anchors, underpinning of an adjacent building, drainage and slope protection, and unexploded-ordnance surveying and clearance. The planned excavation includes approximately 12,700 m³ of rock; the bored-pile wall includes about 360 linear metres of 62 cm piles.
