Concrete rehabilitation of the activated-sludge tanks at Düsseldorf-Nord wastewater treatment plant

Summary

The City of Düsseldorf’s municipal drainage service is procuring concrete rehabilitation works for activated-sludge tanks BB2TB01 and BB2TB02 at the Düsseldorf-Nord wastewater treatment plant. The works cover interior and exterior walls, wall crowns, the outlet channel, walkways and floor and wall joints, including concrete removal by high-pressure water jetting, concrete repair and reprofiling, crack injection, protective coatings, scaffolding and removal of contaminated joint materials. The planned works include preparation of approximately 10,600 m² of concrete surfaces and application of repair mortar and wastewater-resistant coating across approximately 9,950 m²; the revised execution period is 9 February to 8 November 2027.
