Road surfacing improvements in Amarelle – Phase I

Summary

The tender covers improvements to the road surface on rural road sections in Amarelle, in the parish of Montouto, Santa Comba. The works include clearing and cleaning road verges and existing ditches, removing damaged pavement where necessary, mechanically sweeping and levelling the road surface, adding granular material and correcting surface irregularities. Where specified in the project, the contractor will lay a 5 cm hot asphalt-mix wearing course or renew the surface with asphalt surface dressing. Horizontal and vertical road markings are also included. The works will follow the existing road alignment and cross-section. The works are to be completed within 3 months. The estimated value is €47,195.41 excluding VAT, and the total tender budget is €57,106.45 including 21% VAT. Bids will be assessed on price and on quality, work organisation, environmental and health-and-safety plans. A bid must obtain at least 50% of the points available in the first evaluation phase to proceed to the second phase. Bids must be submitted electronically; under the ordinary procedure, the submission period is 26 calendar days from the day after publication of the contract notice.
