Tender detail
Expansion of diesel storage and upgrade of the pumping system in the Clúster I and Hèlix buildings
Summary
The tender covers a turnkey expansion of the diesel storage capacity and modernisation of the fuel-pumping system in the Clúster I and Hèlix buildings at Barcelona Science Park. The contractor will partially remove existing equipment; supply and install new tanks, pipework, pumps, electrical and control equipment; connect the system to existing infrastructure and the building-management system; and carry out the necessary civil works, testing, inspection and legalisation. The work also includes proper waste handling, commissioning, handover documentation and training for the park’s technical staff. The technical cost schedule provides for four 1,000-litre tanks in Clúster I and one 2,000-litre tank in Hèlix. The system must achieve 99.9% availability; pumping in Clúster I must be redundant with automatic changeover, and pump motors must have energy-efficiency class IE3 or higher. The work must minimise disruption to the science park’s daily operations and critical systems. Bids must be submitted electronically in a single envelope, containing a responsible declaration and a price offer with an itemised breakdown. Price is scored out of a maximum of 100 points. The estimated value is EUR 56,612.18 excluding VAT (EUR 68,500.74 including 21% VAT). The works must be completed within four months from signature of the setting-out record. The contract is not divided into lots. Bidders must hold the required PPL-II authorisation and be registered, or have applied for registration, in the relevant procurement register. No general financial or technical capacity criteria apply, but the tender documents set specific requirements for the site manager, workforce and technical compliance.
