Insurance for Umivale Activa vehicles

Summary

The tender seeks an insurer to cover risks arising from the use and circulation of Umivale Activa’s vehicle fleet. The listed fleet comprises four passenger cars, three vans and one ambulance. The entire fleet is procured under one contract, with insurance documents issued for each vehicle individually or as individual certificates under a single policy. Theft, glass and fire cover do not apply to the ambulance. The insurer must issue insurance documents and certificates for the vehicles, administer vehicle additions and removals at the rates quoted, and refund the unused premium for removed vehicles. Claims data must be provided quarterly. A damaged vehicle must be assessed by the end of the day following notification, supported by the insurer’s own network of assessors. Repair bills must be paid directly to the repair workshop or service provider within 30 days of completion. The quoted premium must include the insurance intermediary’s fee of 5% of the net premium and all applicable charges and taxes. The tender budget is capped at €10,000; the insurance is exempt from VAT. The estimated value including planned modifications is €12,000. Up to 20% of the initial budget, or €2,000, is reserved for changes resulting from vehicle additions or removals, changes to insured risks and changes in legislation. Price is the sole award criterion, worth up to 100 points; the lowest total premium receives the maximum score and other bids are scored proportionally. Bidders must meet the turnover, experience and insurance-authorisation requirements.
