Supply and installation of exhibition materials and equipment for the Punta de Teno Old Lighthouse interpretation centre

Summary

The contract covers the production, supply and installation of exhibition materials and equipment for the interpretation centre at the Old Lighthouse of Punta de Teno in Tenerife’s Teno Rural Park. The work includes indoor exhibition features, including a tactile model and map and dioramas; indoor and outdoor furniture; outdoor signs and information panels; two audio guides in two languages and a Spanish Sign Language guide; as well as transport and overall installation. The aim is to create an accessible visitor experience that presents the park’s natural and cultural values. The contract is not divided into lots. The work must be completed within four months of signing the start-of-work record, with no extension available. The estimated value is EUR 183,225 excluding IGIC, plus EUR 12,825.75 IGIC, for a total of EUR 196,050.75 including tax. Price is only one award criterion: timber-product sustainability, earlier delivery and installation, an extended warranty, and the project planning and management plan are also assessed. The plan may be no longer than six A4 pages, and a score of at least 15 out of 30 is required to continue. Tenderers must meet financial and technical capacity requirements, including annual turnover of at least EUR 120,000 and comparable supply experience of the same minimum value, subject to an alternative for companies established less than five years ago. Bids must be submitted electronically in Spanish. The proposed winner must provide, among other items, the required product information and evidence, confirmations of tax and social security compliance, and a final guarantee of 5% excluding IGIC.
