Upgrade and expansion of centralized climate and lighting controls at the Reina Sofía Museum

Summary

The contract covers the supply, installation and upgrade of hardware and software for centralized control of heating, ventilation, climate and lighting systems in the Reina Sofía Museum buildings. The work includes upgrading and virtualizing the existing DESIGO management software, replacing obsolete controllers, carrying out network and electrical installation work, and integrating the Palacio de Velázquez system with the main site. The exhibition rooms in the Nouvel building require lighting control and wireless environmental monitoring integrated with the control system, including temperature, relative humidity and CO2 measurements. The contractor must configure and test the systems, train museum staff and deliver technical documentation. The transition must maintain uninterrupted operation of the installations and protect the collections. The planned contract period is four months, with an expected start on 1 February 2027 and completion by 31 May 2027; if signature takes place later, the duration remains four months from signature. No extension is provided for. The estimated budget is EUR 203,832.26 including VAT. Bidders must substantiate the turnover and reference requirements and provide the required experienced technical team. Price is worth up to 65 points, additional warranty up to 15 points, and the execution plan up to 20 points. The installation has a minimum one-year warranty; additional warranty is scored for up to three extra years. Waste generated during the work must be sorted, and a report must be submitted with the invoice.
