Insurance cover for tutors, staff, property damage and civil liability

Summary

The procurement covers three insurance-service lots for the UNED Huelva associated centre: accident insurance for tutor lecturers (39 insured persons), accident insurance for administrative and service staff (5 employees, with an occasional trainee), and insurance for the building, contents and civil liability. Bidders may tender for one, several or all lots, submitting a separate offer for each. Coverage must meet the minimum conditions in the tender documents. Lot I must provide 24-hour accident cover, both at and outside work. The benefit for accidental death is €35,000; benefits for severe disability and total or partial permanent incapacity are €70,000. Medical expenses are unlimited at contracted centres and capped at €6,000 at freely chosen centres. Cover from the Insurance Compensation Consortium must be included. Lot II must cover occupational and non-occupational accidents around the clock in accordance with the collective agreement for university education centres. Accidental death benefits are €35,000 for both occupational and non-occupational accidents; benefits for severe disability and total permanent incapacity are €70,000 in each case. Lot III covers the building and contents, as well as civil liability. The insured sums are €750,000 for the building and €225,000 for contents, including €15,000 for library holdings, €45,000 for office furniture and €165,000 for information-processing equipment. Minimum cover includes fire, explosion and implosion; damage caused by rain, hail and wind; loss of use of the building; water damage, locating leaks and repairing pipes; aesthetic damage up to €6,000; lock replacement after theft or loss; urgent repairs within three hours; an unlimited number of drain-clearing callouts; breakage of glass, windows, mirrors, signs and sanitary fittings; theft of third-party property up to €30,000; and civil liability cover of €600,000 with no excess and a €150,000 sublimit per injured person. Claims assistance and professional assistance are also included. The annual budget ceiling is €3,180 in total: €1,350 for Lot I, €180 for Lot II and €1,650 for Lot III. The initial contract term is one year from 1 January 2027, with two possible one-year extensions, for a maximum total term of three years. Price is the sole award criterion. Bidders must be licensed and registered insurers authorised for the relevant classes, and must demonstrate the required turnover and experience providing similar services. Offers must be submitted electronically, separately for each lot, with the required technical and financial documents and declarations.
