Rehabilitation of the Municipal Shed in Fígols

Summary

The tender is for the rehabilitation of Fígols’ municipal shed, used to store road salt and snow-removal machinery, so that the municipal tractor and its equipment can enter the building. The works include manually removing the torn, leaking fabric roof and existing metal structure, increasing the shed’s height and building a new structure with steel columns and beams. The contractor will construct insulated timber-frame external walls and a pitched roof finished with ceramic tiles, and install gutters and downpipes, a sectional door with a pedestrian access door, electrical lighting, a fire extinguisher and fire-safety signs. The shed measures 5.23 × 5.58 m externally and currently has 3.5 m of clear internal height. The works are expected to take five months. The estimated price is €47,187.81 excluding VAT and €57,097.25 including 21% VAT. Bids must be submitted electronically within 20 working days of publication of the contract notice. The contract is not divided into lots and variants are not allowed. Up to 80 award points are available for four specified improvements: a fire-resistant plasterboard lining, 100 mm mineral-wool insulation, and white paint finishes on interior vertical and horizontal surfaces (up to 20 points each). The completion/delivery period is worth up to 10 points, and an extended warranty earns five points per additional year, up to two years. The basic warranty is at least one year. Bidders must meet the financial and technical capacity requirements and be registered in the relevant official register of bidders. The successful contractor must provide liability insurance with minimum cover of €300,000 and a performance guarantee. Before work begins, the contractor must prepare a health and safety plan, including an internal emergency plan and procedures for storing and removing construction waste. Work is to take place on working days between 8:00 and 20:00; work outside those hours requires municipal authorisation.
