Tender detail
Christmas hamper supply for Alicante Port Authority staff 2026
Summary
The tender covers the supply of Christmas hampers for employees of the Alicante Port Authority for the 2026 contract year. The estimated maximum is 122 hampers, although the final quantity will be confirmed before delivery; each hamper may cost up to €175. The tender budget is €25,833.50 including VAT, and the estimated contract value is €21,350 excluding VAT. The standard hamper must contain exactly the specified products: 2 kg of sliced, vacuum-packed Duroc Gran Reserva ham; 500 g each of Iberian pork loin, Iberian salchichón and Iberian chorizo; 750 g of cured sheep’s cheese; 750 ml of cava; 750 ml of Rioja reserva red wine; 750 ml of white wine; 700 ml of 12-year-old whisky; and 700 ml of premium gin. It must also contain 300 g each of supreme-quality Alicante nougat, supreme-quality Jijona nougat and chocolate nougat; 300 g of assorted Christmas biscuits; 200 g of polvorones and 200 g of marzipan; 200 g of bonito tuna loins in olive oil; 80 g of chocolate truffles; 200 g of truffled goose-liver mousse; and 750 ml of artisanal extra-virgin olive oil. All nougat must originate in Alicante province. Products must meet the required quality and quantities; a ±10% weight tolerance applies only where expressly stated. Employees may choose the standard hamper or one of three alternatives: vegan, alcohol-free or gourmet. Tenderers must propose the contents of all three alternatives and demonstrate that each matches the standard hamper in quality, presentation and economic value. Vegan products must contain no animal-derived ingredients or additives; alcoholic drinks in the alcohol-free hamper must be replaced with equivalent-quality non-alcoholic alternatives; and gourmet products must be premium-range. None of the alternatives may be worth less than the standard hamper. The bid must include a descriptive dossier for the standard hamper and all alternatives, identifying each product’s commercial name, characteristics, packaging, weight or volume, brand where applicable, and assigned value. The supplier must keep at least five spare hampers, resolve complaints within 30 days at the latest, and immediately replace hampers with packaging defects or broken products. All items must have at least one year of remaining shelf life from delivery. Delivery to the Alicante Port Authority premises is due before 10:00 on 15 December 2026. Each hamper must be packed preferably in one, and at most two, wheeled containers with a handle; the packaging must bear the Authority’s logo and include an item list and contact details for complaints. Price is the sole award criterion and is worth 100 points; the lowest bid receives the maximum, with other scores calculated proportionally. Tenderers must demonstrate annual turnover of at least €35,000 in their best year among the three most recent available financial years and provide a list of their principal supplies during the last three years, with values, dates and recipients. The electronic bid must include the required administrative declarations, and a standard-hamper sample must be submitted within 15 days after contract signature. The successful tenderer must provide a final guarantee equal to 5% of the contract award amount excluding VAT; an additional 5% guarantee may apply to a bid initially presumed abnormally low.
