Trapping service for Cerambyx cerdo on public estates in Mallorca

Summary

The procurement covers trapping the oak longhorn beetle (Cerambyx cerdo) on public estates in Mallorca, together with a separate quality-control service for the trapping work. Lots 1–5 include supplying 1.5-litre bottle-type traps and lure, installing, checking, maintaining and removing the traps annually, counting captures, completing field records, monitoring the work and providing foreman supervision. The lure consists of 150 g of sugar and 150 g of salt dissolved in 500 ml of wine; it must be replenished 21 days after the initial installation. Lot 6 independently checks work in lots 1–5 using statistical sampling, including trap location, installation, labelling, operation and the quantity of lure; it includes two quality inspections and annual and final reports. Lots 1–5 cover Menut (1,000 traps), Binifaldó (1,750), Cuber and Sa Bassa (940), Son Moragues and Comuna de Bunyola (1,335), and Puig de Santuïri and Comuna de Biniamar (1,315). Lots 1–4 require approximately 50 traps per hectare and lot 5 approximately 47. A bidder may be awarded up to two of lots 1–5, except where it is the only admitted bidder for a lot. A bidder for lot 6 may not bid for lots 1–5, protecting the independence of quality control. The total tender budget is €145,386.14 excluding taxes and €175,917.24 including taxes; the estimated total value including planned extensions is €290,772.28 excluding taxes. The budgets excluding taxes for lots 1–6 are respectively €23,580.79, €35,483.97, €17,697.31, €27,473.16, €28,186.41 and €12,964.50. Bidders must quote every required unit price, which must not exceed the stated ceilings; partial bids and bids with a total price of zero are not accepted. The contract runs for one year, with a five-month work period from April through August; one one-year extension is provided for lots 1, 2 and 4–6. Bids must be submitted electronically by 30 October 2026 at 14:00. Price accounts for 90 points; the deadline for correcting non-conformities is also scored for lots 1–5, while lot 6 receives additional points for inspecting a higher proportion of traps.
