Repair, transport and installation of the monumental Bacchus and Salacia figures in Cádiz
Summary
The procurement is divided into two lots: repair, transport, installation and dismantling of the monumental Bacchus and Salacia figures in Cádiz, together with maintenance and repair support while they are on display. Each figure is approximately 7 metres high and 9 metres long. The work includes collecting the figure from a location specified by the contracting authority within the city, installing it on the arch of the Tierra Gates, and taking it after dismantling to a location designated by the city’s Department of Festivities and Carnival. The contractor must supply a metal support structure of approximately 10 × 2.5 × 1 metres, with a wooden top suitable for outdoor use, and secure it with counterweights so the historic structure is not damaged. The contractor must provide all means needed for transport, installation and dismantling, and submit a technical stability and installation certificate. The figures must be installed by 3 February 2027 and removed and transported away on 15 February 2027. The maximum price for each lot is EUR 19,000 excluding VAT, or EUR 22,990 including 21% VAT; the total is EUR 38,000 excluding VAT and EUR 45,980 including VAT. The contract runs from 1 January 2027, or from a later date of signature, until 28 February 2027 and may be extended annually for up to two additional years. The contractor must provide the necessary staff, document their lawful employment status and maintain the required liability insurance.
