Renewal of the Drinking-Water Network Infrastructure in Arenas de San Juan
Summary
The contract covers the renewal and reinstatement of the drinking-water distribution network in Arenas de San Juan. The works include installing 1,181 metres of high-density polyethylene pipe (75 mm diameter, 10-bar working pressure), renewing 55 household connections, connecting the new pipework to the existing network, and installing isolation valves and drains. The contractor must also reinstate road and pavement surfaces, kerbs and road markings affected by excavation, carry out pressure testing, clean and disinfect the new network, and maintain safe traffic arrangements while works are under way. The work includes sections of Cigüela, Goya, Tajo, Guadiana and Sancho Panza streets. The works must be completed within six months. The estimated value is €106,129.29 excluding VAT and the total budget is €128,416.44 including 21% VAT; price is the sole award criterion. The contract is not divided into lots and alternative solutions are not permitted. Bidders must demonstrate the required financial and technical capacity and submit a signed responsible declaration, the European Single Procurement Document and a price offer covering the entire contract. Bids must be submitted electronically in Spanish. The successful bidder must provide the requested evidence within 10 working days and lodge a final performance guarantee equal to 5% of the award value excluding VAT. The contract also entails environmental, health and safety, labour-law, EU-funding visibility, inspection and audit obligations.
