Renewal of paving and utilities on Doctor Gener and La Carretereta streets, with a climate refuge

Summary

The contract covers redevelopment works on a section of Doctor Gener Street and La Carretereta Street in Montbrió del Camp. The works include demolishing or diverting unsuitable existing elements, earthworks and utility trenches, resurfacing the road, renewing the sewer and drinking-water networks with temporary arrangements to keep them operating during construction, and placing the street-lighting network underground while retaining the existing light points. The design creates a single-level shared street space, a pedestrian-only area from No. 2 Doctor Gener Street with an automatic vehicle barrier, and a shaded climate refuge with trees and shrubs. The contract is not divided into lots. The works period is four months. The offer may propose a shorter period, stated in weeks, by up to three weeks against the project’s 21-week reference period, and must include a works schedule. The maximum contract budget is €272,291.88 including VAT (€225,034.61 excluding VAT); bids above the ceiling will be rejected. Price scores up to 70 points, shortening the works period up to 20 points, and extending the warranty up to 10 points. The mandatory warranty is one year; each additional year earns two points, up to five additional years. Bids must be submitted electronically within 20 calendar days of publication of the contract notice. The successful bidder must provide a final guarantee equal to 5% of the awarded price excluding VAT. Bidders must be registered in ROLECE or RELI and demonstrate the required turnover, professional indemnity insurance, and satisfactory completion of relevant works carried out in the last five years. During the works, the contractor must comply with applicable employment, social security, occupational health and safety requirements.
