Mechanised extraction of felled pine timber in the Alto Tajo and Cuenca forests

Summary

The contract covers the mechanised extraction and stacking of already-felled black pine (Pinus nigra) and Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) timber in two public forests: Buenafuente del Sistal in the Alto Tajo Natural Park (15.86 ha) and Valtablado de Beteta in the Serranía de Cuenca Natural Park (24.94 ha). Extraction is required on slopes over 30% and up to 50%, over a distance exceeding 400 m. The work must minimise damage to the soil, retained vegetation and regeneration. The contracting authority will determine the precise work areas. The tender ceiling is EUR 46,118.50 excluding VAT and EUR 55,803.39 including 21% VAT. The unit price must not exceed EUR 1,367.73 per hectare including VAT, and the same unit price must be offered for both locations. Price is the sole award criterion. Bids must be submitted electronically in Spanish as a single envelope by 13:59 on 14 October 2026. The execution period is two months from signature of the site-setting verification record; in exceptional circumstances beyond the contractor’s control, it may be extended by up to one month. Preventive works may not be carried out during the high forest-fire-risk period from June to September without express authorisation. Separate proof of economic or technical/professional capacity is not required, but bidders must provide the necessary workforce, suitable forestry machinery and equipment, and worker transport. Civil liability insurance is required, with cover of at least EUR 600,000 or 20% of the contract value, whichever is greater. No tender or performance guarantee is required.
