Construction of a multi-purpose building in Santovenia de la Valdoncina

Summary

The tender covers construction of a multi-purpose building on a plot next to the school in Santovenia de la Valdoncina. The building is intended for cultural, sporting and leisure activities for local residents and may also be used by the school for activities that cannot be accommodated in its existing building. The works contract is not divided into lots. The completion period is 11 months from signature of the site-setting-out record, with no extension permitted. One additional whole year of warranty earns 10 points; two or more additional whole years, giving a total three-year warranty, earn 15 points. Shortening the works period by four weeks earns 10 points and by eight weeks earns 25 points. Bids must be submitted manually in a sealed package within 20 calendar days of publication of the contract notice, and the documents must be in Spanish. The successful bidder must provide a performance guarantee of 5% of the final bid price excluding VAT. Bidders must demonstrate the required financial and technical capacity, be registered in the relevant official tenderer register, and provide a suitably qualified works manager, site foreman, and the equipment and machinery needed for the works. During performance, the contractor must comply with labour, environmental and health-and-safety requirements, appoint an environmental representative for the full construction period, and provide periodic evidence of waste management. The procurement uses a simplified open procedure.
