Enclosure and refurbishment of the covered sports court at Valle de las Cañas Sports Centre

Summary

The procurement covers the design and complete construction works to enclose and upgrade the existing covered sports court, approximately 28.65 × 45 m, at the Valle de las Cañas Sports Centre. The works include enclosing all four sides, any required structural strengthening, doors and evacuation arrangements, a sports floor, heating and ventilation, electrical and sports lighting systems, and fire-protection systems. The contract also includes repairing the existing spectator stands, installing individual polypropylene seats and an automatic fire detection and alarm system, as well as testing, statutory registration and handover ready for use. The contract is not divided into lots, and design and construction are procured together. The estimated price is €409,973.55 excluding VAT and €496,068 including VAT. The design stage is due within one month of contract signing, followed by a three-month construction stage from the date authorising the start of the works; the contract is to be completed in 2026. The lump-sum price covers design, materials, installation, documentation and commissioning. Price scores up to 85 points, the complete sports-equipment enhancement up to 10 points, and an extension of the warranty by up to two full years up to 5 points. The equipment enhancement consists of six automatically raised and folding basketball hoops and two electronic scoreboards approximately 1.5 m long, including controls, installation and configuration. The enclosure and its structural components carry a minimum 10-year warranty; the technical requirements set a minimum three-year warranty for other equipment. The bid must include the technical solution and supporting evidence and state the price, whether the equipment enhancement is offered, and any additional full warranty years.
