Environmentally considerate rental of purified-water dispensers for Valencia University General Hospital

Summary

The procurement is for the rental, without an option to purchase, of 53 mains-connected purified-water dispensers for different buildings of Valencia University General Hospital. The supplier must install and commission the units, carry out the necessary plumbing and electrical work, and provide maintenance, repairs, spare parts, consumables and replacement units throughout the contract; water itself is excluded. The dispensers must provide chilled water at 3–10 °C and untreated water at ambient temperature. Bottled or refillable-container systems are not permitted. All units must be from the same manufacturer and model and comply with drinking-water quality and technical requirements. Tenderers must submit a technical description of no more than 20 pages, the manufacturer’s data sheet, a declaration of conformity, the completed technical-characteristics form in Excel and PDF, and a sample of the proposed unit with means to test water hardness, chlorine and pH. The technical offer must demonstrate compliance with every minimum requirement. Maintenance must include hygienic and sanitary servicing at least every six months; ordinary calls must be attended within 48 hours and urgent calls within 24 hours, and faults must be repaired within one calendar week (five working days), failing which the dispenser must be replaced. A maintenance plan and monthly intervention reports are also required. Tenderers must have the required legal and operational capacity and must not be barred by law from public contracts; the specific financial and technical capacity thresholds must be checked in the tender documents.
