Design and replacement works for escalators at Benimàmet and Carolines Fira stations

Summary

The contract covers the preparation of a construction project and the associated works at Benimàmet and Carolines Fira metro stations. At each station, the two existing escalators will be removed: the escalator leading down to the platform will be replaced by a fixed staircase, and the escalator leading up to the concourse will be replaced by a new escalator. The contractor will first prepare the construction project, then build the staircases while the new escalators are manufactured in parallel, and install the escalators once the construction work is complete. The works must be completed within eight months. The estimated contract value is €1,027,678.36 excluding VAT (€1,243,490.82 including 21% VAT); the contract is not divided into lots. The mandatory contractor classification is Group J, Subgroup 1, Category 4. Before contract award, the bidder must demonstrate the availability of the required materials and personnel, including an escalator installation and civil works engineer or architect with at least two years of verifiable experience, an authorised track-work supervisor and a safety pilot. Civil liability insurance must provide cover of at least €3,000,000 and at least €1,000,000 per claim. The technical proposal is scored out of 50 points and price out of 50 points. Access to the technical tender documents requires a signed confidentiality declaration; the offer must include a signed confidentiality agreement, and the confidentiality obligation lasts for at least 20 years.
