Acting and animation services for Mataró’s Christmas and Three Kings events

Summary

Mataró City Council is procuring acting and performance services, together with artistic and operational coordination, for its Christmas and Three Kings programme: the Christmas lights switch-on, the Royal Camp, royal postmen activities, the arrival of the Three Kings and the parade. The contractor will select and manage performers, assign roles and shifts, deliver performances and audience engagement, attend rehearsals, provide replacements and prepare a final report. The service provider must supply at least 24 adult actors or extras, one coordinator and sufficient replacement staff. The Council will provide costumes, make-up, props, technical infrastructure and performance spaces. The procurement has one lot; the contract runs for one year, with an option to extend for a further year. The budget ceiling is €29,972.50 excluding VAT (€36,266.73 including VAT). The estimated workload is 150 coordinator hours and 1,129 actor hours, with maximum rates of €34.23 and €22 per hour respectively, excluding VAT. Bids are evaluated on price (up to 60 points), the coordinator’s general and Christmas-show coordination experience (up to 10 and 20 points) and the coordinator’s training in theatre, circus, dance or acting (up to 10 points).
