Construction of the Oncology Day Hospital at Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital

Summary

The contract covers the refurbishment of the fourth floor of the Traumatology building at Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital for use as an oncology day hospital. The works include demolition and masonry needed to create the new layout, finishing works, renewal of ceilings, doors and metalwork, and comprehensive modernization of building services, including fire-protection systems, low-voltage electrical installations, ventilation and air conditioning. The hospital will remain open during the works. The completion period is up to 10 months from the day after the site-setting-out inspection record is signed. The estimated value is €807,606.34 excluding tax; the budget including 7% IGIC is €864,138.78. The contract is not divided into lots, and bidders must attend a mandatory site visit before preparing their offers and include the signed visit certificate with the offer. Offers are scored on price (40 points), previous hospital-space refurbishment works (30 points) and an extended warranty for installations (30 points). The experience criterion awards points for 1–2, 3–4 or at least 5 qualifying projects; each project must have had a tender budget of at least €500,000 including IGIC. The offered warranty for installations must be between 36 and 72 months. Bidders must meet the qualification requirements, including the required works classification or equivalent evidence of financial and technical capacity. Waste must be sorted during the works, with evidence at completion that it was delivered to an authorized waste-management operator.
