Assembly, minor maintenance, dismantling and storage of Three Kings parade floats

Summary

The tender covers the annual assembly, minor maintenance, dismantling and storage of the decorations on eight floats used in Esparreguera’s Three Kings parade. In December, the contractor must install the decorations, fit replacement flooring in the existing colour, touch up paint and thoroughly clean the floats, inspect the electrical and lighting circuits, repair or replace small damaged decorative items, reinforce light fittings, check safety components, and supply the materials and spare parts needed. The original design of each float must be preserved. In January, the contractor must carefully dismantle the components, sort and identify them by float, and protect the stored decorations and trailers with covers. The work is carried out at the former slaughterhouse at 2 Carrer Llobregat, Esparreguera. Assembly and minor maintenance take place each year from 1 to 31 December; dismantling and storage take place from 7 to 31 January. The contract lasts up to 3 years and 2 months, with no extension. For all eight floats, the estimated budget is €29,680 excluding VAT and €35,912.80 including 21% VAT. The maximum unit price per float is €695.625 excluding VAT for assembly and minor maintenance, and €231.875 excluding VAT for dismantling and storage. Price is the sole award criterion, with up to 100 points for the lowest-priced offer. Both unit prices must be quoted to three decimal places. Bids must be submitted electronically in a single digital envelope within 10 working days from the day after publication of the contract notice. Bidders must submit a responsible declaration and a price offer and satisfy the legal conditions for contracting; financial or technical capacity does not need to be separately demonstrated. The successful bidder must hold civil liability insurance with at least €300,000 cover. The contractor must provide the staff and materials required, ensure occupational safety, keep risk-prevention documents up to date, supply personal protective equipment, and appoint a contact person authorised to make decisions. Paper may not be used during contract performance; communications and reports must be digital.
