Summary

The contract covers the operation of the laundry service at Lusa Care Centre in 2027. It is reserved for social-integration enterprises and special employment centres promoted by social initiatives, which must retain the qualifying status throughout the contract. The contractor will receive, sort, wash, dry, iron, fold and organise residents’ clothing and IFAS staff uniforms in separate handling circuits. The service also includes minor sewing and repairs, monitoring laundry-supply stocks, and keeping the laundry facilities and equipment in order. Work is scheduled from Monday to Saturday, at an estimated seven hours per day, or 2,184 hours per year. IFAS will make the laundry premises and equipment available; the contractor must provide sufficient staff, ensure continuity, manage incidents, and carry out and report on a service inspection at least once every quarter. Bidders must meet the qualification and compliance requirements, including proving the status required for the reserved contract and the capacity specified in the tender documents.
