Extension of Pier X at the Port of Melilla

Summary

The tender concerns the extension of Pier X at the Port of Melilla and the reorganisation of the fishing basin. The works include dredging, foundations and rockfill, construction of a new quay using precast concrete blocks, creation of approximately 3,600 m² of reclaimed land, and a new berthing frontage of about 137 metres. The project also includes stormwater drainage, electricity, water and telecommunications networks, lighting and other port equipment. The works must be completed within 9 months. Bidders must demonstrate the required financial and technical capacity or provide the specified contractor classification, and nominate a works manager and site foreman. The successful contractor must submit a health and safety plan within 10 calendar days of contract signature.
