Restoration of the boundary and retaining wall on the Galindra–Castrelos road

Summary

The tender covers the restoration and strengthening of a partly damaged traditional boundary and retaining wall beside Galindra Road in the Castrelos area of Vigo. The works include partially dismantling and securing the ends of the existing wall, removing soil and excavating, building a foundation and an inner concrete wall, reinstating the granite masonry, waterproofing the concrete wall and connecting drainage to the existing stormwater network. A continuous concrete beam must be built along the top of the wall to help keep the stones in place. The budget is €129,310.89 including VAT. The works must be completed within two months, with a planned start date of 15 November 2026. The procurement uses an open procedure and is awarded as a single contract without lots. Bidders must demonstrate the required financial and technical capacity or provide works-contractor classification Group C, Subgroup 2, Category 1. The successful bidder must provide evidence of liability insurance with cover of at least €600,000 before work begins. The works carry a minimum five-year warranty, and archaeological monitoring requirements must be observed during performance.
