Insurance services to cover various risks of the University of Jaén

Summary

The tender covers an insurance programme for the University of Jaén in four indivisible lots: the university’s civil and property liability; personal accident cover for 18 senior officials and official drivers; insurance for the university’s fleet of 32 vehicles and machines; and all-risks property insurance for the university’s buildings and contents. Bidders may tender for one or several lots, with a separate contract awarded for each lot. The maximum annual premium for liability insurance is €19,000. The annual ceiling for personal accident insurance is €220 per insured person, or €3,960 for the estimated group of 18. Annual vehicle-insurance unit premiums must not exceed €500 for basic third-party cover, €550 for extended third-party cover, or €1,000 or €1,060 for comprehensive cover, depending on whether the deductible is €300 or €150. Property sums insured are €201,661,512.92 for buildings and €39,953,197.67 for contents, with a maximum indemnity of €30,000,000 per claim. Bidders must submit a responsible declaration and a financial offer and meet the minimum cover requirements and price ceilings for each lot. Evidence of economic, financial, technical and professional capacity is waived. The insurer must be authorised to provide the relevant insurance services; for Lot 2, registration in the insurance and reinsurance register and authorisation for the relevant insurance class are required. Depending on the lot, the insurance period runs during 2027 or from 1 February 2027 to 31 January 2028, with annual extensions available for up to three years. By submitting an offer, the bidder accepts the tender-document conditions. Documents must be in Spanish or accompanied by a certified Spanish translation.
