Flooring Renewal on the Third and Fourth Floors

Summary

The tender covers the complete renewal of the flooring on the third and fourth floors of the headquarters building of the Canary Islands Department of Finance and European Union Relations, at Tomás Miller 38 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The work includes replacing the existing flooring and carrying out the construction and finishing work specified in the project, together with the associated materials, equipment, protective measures and waste management, and removing and reinstating furniture and installations where necessary. Work areas must be cleared in phases and furniture and workstations restored after each phase. No more than two phases may be underway at once; the usual maximum duration for each phase is four weeks, and the overall works must be completed within seven months. The total estimated budget is EUR 527,462.23, including 7% IGIC. The contract will be awarded on the basis of the best price-quality ratio. Price carries up to 65 points; the qualitative criteria—work-team organisation and arrangements for cleaning, protection and waste management—carry up to 9 points. Up to 26 further points are available for the number of workers on site each day, the site supervisor’s presence, the number of specialist vinyl-flooring workers, shorter phase deadlines and additional warranty. Bids must be submitted electronically. Bidders must meet the classification, financial and technical capacity, and general eligibility requirements; the successful bidder must provide a 5% final-performance guarantee.
