Construction of a water reservoir on the western slope of Atalaya de Cabra
Summary
The contract covers construction of a water reservoir with a capacity of 1,000 m³ on the western slope of the hill known as Atalaya in Cabra, Spain. The works include the project-specified earthworks and demolition, reservoir structure and waterproofing, water-pipeline connections, site works, and instrumentation and control equipment. The contract is not divided into lots, and the works must be completed within six months from signature of the works commencement and setting-out record. The estimated contract value is EUR 631,437.80 excluding VAT; the tender budget is EUR 764,039.74 including VAT. Funding is provided 85% by the European Regional Development Fund and 15% by Cabra City Council. Tenders are scored on price (up to 75 points), an extended warranty (up to 20 points), and a commitment to provide as-built drawings (5 points). Bidders must submit unit prices for all works in a detailed estimate structured in the same way as the project, and submit their tenders electronically. Participation requires works-contractor classification E, Subgroup 1, Category 3. Bidders must confirm that they are not prohibited from contracting and commit to providing sufficient staff, equipment and machinery. The successful bidder must provide a final guarantee of 5% and liability insurance with cover of at least EUR 600,000. The contractor must also comply with environmental and EU-funding conditions, including separate waste collection and applicable climate and environmental requirements.
