Animal collection, sheltering, adoption and disposal services and ethical management of cat colonies

Summary

The procurement covers the collection, sheltering, veterinary care, adoption and lawful handling of companion animals that are abandoned, lost or dead in public places, together with ethical management of cat colonies. The procedure includes two lots: animal collection and shelter services, and ethical management of cat colonies with population control using the C.E.R. method. The service must be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. For the detailed animal collection lot, the contractor must provide collection, transport, veterinary care, accommodation, adoption support, reporting and treatment of animal remains. The maximum response time is 70 minutes for ordinary cases and 45 minutes for urgent cases. The fixed service includes up to 250 ordinary services per year and the reservation of 30 kennels or cages. The contract is initially for one year and may be extended by up to three additional years.
