The tender covers the supply, installation and operational delivery of Type B liquid, aerosol and gel inspection equipment for several airports in the Aena network. It is divided into two lots and will run for 24 months. The estimated value excluding VAT is EUR 3,297,600, consisting of EUR 2,214,000 for Lot 1 and EUR 1,083,600 for Lot 2. Price is the only award criterion.\n\nLot 1 concerns Standard 3 Type B equipment based mainly on Raman spectroscopy. Lot 2 concerns Standard 3 Type B equipment based on electromagnetic, ultrasonic, radio-frequency and/or infrared technology. The contract requires operational equipment, technical documentation, testing and long-term manufacturer support. Offers must be submitted electronically through Aena's tendering platform by 13 October 2026.\n\nThe selected bidder must demonstrate the required financial capacity, comparable supply experience, existing deployment of at least 30 relevant units for Lot 1 or 20 relevant units for Lot 2 in the One Stop Security area, a suitable quality-management system, the necessary personnel and resources, and compliance with the technical and aviation-security requirements. A three-year warranty applies, followed by a seven-year post-warranty maintenance commitment.
