Supply of macrocyclic contrast agent for magnetic resonance imaging

Summary

The tender concerns the supply of macrocyclic magnetic resonance contrast agent for the Carlos III National Cardiovascular Research Center. The product must have a concentration of 0.5 mmol/ml and be supplied in 10 ml, 15 ml, 20 ml and large-volume vials of at least 50 ml. The estimated contract value is EUR 153,510 including four possible one-year extensions; the initial tender budget is EUR 30,100 excluding VAT, with an estimated 35,000 units at a maximum unit price of EUR 0.86 excluding indirect taxes. The supplier must deliver within five working days of an order, or within the shorter period offered. Urgent orders must be delivered within 48 hours and may not exceed 15% of annual orders. The product must be suitable for human injection, have a T1 relaxivity of at least 3.5 at 37°C and 3T measured in plasma solution, and have a magnetic effect that is linear with concentration. The supplier must provide a technical compliance declaration, technical data or composition details, quality certifications and a relaxivity report with deliveries. Delivery, transport, logistics, temporary external storage and technical advice are at the supplier’s cost. Price carries 70 points. A shorter standard delivery time carries 10 points, a shorter urgent-order delivery time carries 10 points, and increased product relaxivity above 3.5 at 3T carries 10 points. Electronic submission is mandatory. A 5% final guarantee and liability or professional-risk insurance with at least EUR 1,000,000 coverage are required.
