Comprehensive maintenance service for the Hyperion supercomputer refrigeration equipment

Summary

The tender concerns comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance of the refrigeration equipment serving the Hyperion supercomputer of the Donostia International Physics Center, including two new iCOOL-43D MHP units to be installed in September 2026. The equipment currently includes seven installed condenser units, two additional iCOOL-43D MHP units to be installed, and 20 FocusCooling DX Rear Rack coolers. The contractor must prepare a preventive-maintenance plan, perform an annual inspection, keep the equipment operational, and provide a signed service report after each visit. For corrective work, a repair quotation must be submitted within 48 calendar hours after the fault notification; if the notification is made on a Sunday, public holiday or the preceding day, the period runs from the next working day. Intervention work must be guaranteed for six months where a defect is attributable to the contractor. Offers must be submitted electronically by 28 September 2026 and will be assessed on the best quality-price relationship. The economic offer must state the annual preventive-maintenance price and the corrective-maintenance hourly rate, with the price excluding VAT used for evaluation. A site visit is optional, but interested bidders must notify the contracting entity within five working days of publication and may nominate no more than two people.
