Construction and management of protected rental housing on two municipal sites

Summary

Barcelona is granting paid, exclusive-use concessions over two municipal plots—Avinguda Diagonal 59–63 and Carrer de Veneçuela 30–50—for the promotion, construction and management of publicly protected rental housing. The developments are estimated to provide about 275 homes across 21,537.42 m² of buildable floor area; ground-floor and first-floor space may also accommodate permitted public facilities. The concession runs for 50 years, with an express extension of up to 25 years, and includes maintaining and operating the buildings, renting the homes as permanent residences and returning the buildings to the municipality when the concession ends.
