Hängelsberge landfill expansion in Magdeburg – protected-species measures, capture and relocation of sand lizards
Summary
The tender covers sand lizard conservation work required for the expansion of the Hängelsberge landfill in Magdeburg. The work includes assessing the condition of the sand lizard habitat, conducting a preliminary survey to establish whether sand lizards are present across the 10.8-hectare construction site, capturing the lizards and relocating them to a habitat on the landfill grounds approximately 600 metres north of the capture area.
