Security and patrol services at the LWL Open-Air Museum in Hagen

Summary

The contract covers dedicated and patrol security services at the LWL Open-Air Museum in Hagen, as well as responses to alarms at the museum depot. The contract runs from 1 December 2026 at 18:00 until 30 November 2030 at 18:00. Security must be provided at the museum 365 days a year through two shifts: one from 18:00 to 04:45 and the other from 21:45 to 08:30. Minimum staffing is one guard from 18:00 to 21:45, two from 21:45 to 04:45 and one from 04:45 to 08:30. The service includes locking and opening buildings and gates, regular patrols, operating security and alarm systems, and documenting incidents. The contractor must provide a continuously reachable alarm operations centre, the museum’s guard tour monitoring system and compliant outdoor and mobile communications equipment. In the event of an alarm at the depot, additional security staff must arrive with a key within 30 minutes. The bidder must submit a separate, project-specific short concept for taking over the contract and demonstrate experience through two references for comparable security or patrol services. The bidder must also report relevant service-line turnover for 2023, 2024 and 2025 and the number of employees in that service area; no minimum turnover or staffing level is stated.
