General planning services for the “SEED” research building

Summary

The University of Duisburg-Essen is procuring integrated general planning services for research building N03 at its Duisburg campus. The approximately 4,000 m² building is planned as specialist research infrastructure for multidimensional imaging, spectroscopy and the analysis of functional materials, with laboratories, precision measurement rooms, a cleanroom, seminar and office areas, and the associated building systems. The scope covers coordinated building, structural, technical-services, fire-protection, building-physics and landscape planning; construction works and the procurement of scientific research equipment are excluded. Optional services include preparing a functional specification for a possible later general-contractor procurement.
