Recovery and transport of bodies and body parts

Summary

The tender is for a framework agreement covering the professional recovery and collection of bodies and body parts at police request, and their transport within the Rhein-Kreis Neuss area. The destination will normally be a public cemetery cold-storage facility or the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Düsseldorf; in exceptional cases, the police may specify another location. The work is divided into six geographical lots. A tenderer may bid for one or more lots, but must submit a separate offer for each. The contract runs from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2030, with an option to extend it once by one year. No minimum volume is guaranteed; orders may be placed for up to 1,800 cases. The contractor must provide 24-hour telephone availability, reach the incident location within 60 minutes, and deploy at least two staff members for each call-out. At least one suitable hearse must be available throughout the contract. It must comply with DIN 75081 and carry the required equipment. Staff must handle bodies and body parts with dignity and care, comply with hygiene, occupational safety and data-protection rules, and must not use the situation to advertise funeral services. The bidder must provide the required registration evidence, vehicle and staff details, and completed price sheet. Price is the sole award criterion (100%). The assessment takes account of service prices for different time periods, Sundays and public holidays, cold-storage and empty journeys. Offers must be submitted electronically.
