Summary

The tender is for the audit of the annual accounts of Heinrich Böll Foundation and its 16 legally independent regional foundations, as well as an examination of the Foundation’s economic and financial management. The work includes, among other things, checking the use of grants and supporting evidence, identifying double funding, auditing the IT system and, if required, carrying out other audit or expert services. The estimated annual workloads for the main audit components are 316, 216 and 288 hours respectively. The contract runs from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2030. Bidders must meet the auditor qualification requirements and submit the required evidence, references, team profiles, audit plan, communication and reporting plan, and price offer. The award assessment weights are: price 40%; audit-team experience, qualifications and continuity 15%; audit-plan quality 30%; and the quality and efficiency of communication and reporting 15%. The work will be carried out predominantly digitally, and the bidder must include the cost of providing data rooms in its price. Bids must be submitted electronically in German by 12:00 noon Berlin time on 6 October 2026.
