Climate resilient urban development and financing in selected municipalities in Zambia

Summary

GIZ is procuring advisory and implementation support to strengthen climate-resilient, inclusive urban planning and municipal financing in selected municipalities in Zambia. The services include preparing three Local Area Plans for settlements in Choma, Samfya and Mazabuka and one planning agreement at a location yet to be determined; building GIS capacity and infrastructure across six local authorities; and developing financing and revenue-mobilisation approaches. The scope also covers civil-society participation, four national dialogues, a climate-resilient urban development exhibition and expert-pool support.
