Amphibian, open-country bird, vegetation and Phengaris monitoring
Summary
WIGES is commissioning ecological monitoring for the Straubing–Vilshofen Danube development, section 1 between Straubing and Deggendorf, on areas in the Sulzbach flood-control polders. The work covers population and measure-related surveys of common spadefoot toads and European tree frogs in 2027–2028; surveys of the Eurasian curlew and northern lapwing in 2027 across 765.58 hectares; vegetation monitoring in 2027–2028; and monitoring of Phengaris nausithous in 2027 on 10.4 hectares of project areas and 9 hectares of reference areas. The services also include digitising and analysing survey results, preparing reports, maps and photographic records.
