Valorisation of territorial potentials for inclusive local development in northern Togo

Summary

The tender concerns valorisation of territorial potentials for inclusive local development in northern Togo. The objective is to strengthen the capacities of regional and local authorities to implement transferred competences, improve collaboration among the public sector, private sector and civil society for inclusive and conflict-sensitive territorial development, and strengthen transparent, participatory local public financial management. The assignment comprises three outputs: (1) capacity development for transferred competences; (2) enhanced collaboration among public institutions, local authorities, civil society and the private sector; (3) strengthened transparent, participatory local financial management. The approach mainstreams gender equality (LNOB), climate resilience and digitalisation, using innovative elements such as benchmarking and peer-to-peer learning, with digital solutions interoperable with national ecosystems. The target is 38 municipalities in Kara and Savanes with replication up to all 117 municipalities over time.
