Tender detail

Geothermal probe drilling and thermal response test

Summary

The tender covers drilling works for the geothermal probe field serving the replacement Franz Vollbring sports hall in Schönebeck. The work includes drilling and installing a U-shaped geothermal probe, filling and sealing the borehole, testing and documenting the works, conducting a 72-hour thermal response test, and constructing a separate temperature-measuring borehole. The design basis for the complete planned probe field is 36 probes, each 200 m deep, for a total of 7,200 m; this describes the overall system and is not necessarily the quantity of the individual drilling work in this contract. The bidder must be a certified specialist contractor and submit its certificates, comparable project references and proof of liability insurance of at least EUR 20 million. Drilling must use a double-head rig with a hook load of at least 150 kN, and a drilling supervisor qualified under DVGW W 120 must be named. Bids must be submitted electronically in German by 2 November 2026 at 16:07. Alternative bids and multiple main bids are not permitted; price is the sole award criterion. Work is to start in calendar week 50 of 2026 and finish in calendar week 4 of 2027.
